Lauren Poe

Lauren Poe is a senior program manager with Executive Education and first joined the team in February 2024. With a background in education, she was drawn to Rice by her passion for continued learning and professional development. She especially enjoys being part of the Rice community and working alongside a team of colleagues who share a commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences. Her favorite part of her role is the people, both the Executive Education team and the broader Rice community.

Lauren earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with minors in philosophy and English from the University of St. Thomas. Her professional background is as diverse as her interests, with experience as a flight attendant, a divemaster and manager of a scuba school and dive shop, and a state operations manager supporting teacher certification. These varied experiences have given her a versatile perspective and an appreciation for working with people in different environments.

Outside of work, Lauren is a big fan of movies and music and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves getting outside and exploring, while also embracing the energy and experiences that come with city life.
