He is a mission-driven leader focused on safe-guarding U.S. interests and bolstering allied partnerships. He is the managing partner of ASynapse, a global advisory firm for CEOs and Board of Directors.
He serves as a strategic advisor and Chief Growth Officer at ARTIS Magi, the global leader in Small-Language-Model (SLM) Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Magi platforms and tools were built over the course of 25+ years serving U.S. federal agencies and the White House, with significant development funding from the US government and other private research partners.
Anup’s core leadership expertise is centered around driving strategic transformation with proven ability to shift traditional business models toward digital-first and customer-centric solutions. He has delivered multi-billion-dollar outcomes, including a $1.3B profitability improvement at LyondellBasell and $3.2B in productivity yield at GE, enabled by continuous improvement and value creation from human capital, industrial assets and technology. He has led large scale industrial operations, delivered on multi-billion global transactions and integrations while leading agile organizations of up to 25,000 professionals across global locations.
He is known for building high-performance, diverse global teams across six continents, and sustaining an enduring culture that emphasizes accountability, innovation, transparency, and an "ownership mindset”. His innovation leadership has resulted in the establishment of industry-disrupting capabilities that “future-proof” growth, such as the first Industrial Ai Factory with Nvidia and Dell, a break-through AI Advanced Development Lab at Worley and "Brilliant Factories" enabled by IoT at GE.
He and his family reside in Houston where he serves on the advisory board of Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business and is a board member and the immediate past chairman of the March of Dimes, Houston. Anup graduated magna cum laude in Computer Information Science & Business Management; is a graduate of GE’s Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP); is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt; and a recipient of the GE Chairman’s Award for Digital Excellence.
