Pay your deposit and reserve your seat by completing your Reply to Admission form. You may access the Reply to Admission form through the link in your admissions letter, by clicking on the "Save your Spot" button above, or by logging in to your application portal.
In the spring, you will receive access information for your ESTHER account, NetID and Rice email. You will need to activate your Rice email address! (Please note that records will not be created until April and you will not have access to your Rice email until then.)
In the spring, you will also gain access to our Onboarding Site, which will help you get prepared for classes to start in the fall.
Official Documents Required for Enrollment
Begin collecting official transcripts. We require official transcripts from your previous undergraduate and graduate degrees only. Most U.S. institutions are able to send us official transcripts electronically via an official electronic delivery service. This means that we are unable to accept transcripts that you personally send to us via email; even if they are certified as "official" PDFs, we will still need them to be sent to us directly from your school.
When requesting electronic delivery, please have your transcripts sent to ricemba@rice.edu. Transcripts may also be delivered to our office by hand (in an unopened, university-stamped envelope), or by mail to:

- Student financial aid can be a long process, so it is imperative that you start learning about it early. Please reference the Navigating Financial Aid page for resources and more information.
- As a student of Rice University you must have health insurance. You can either enroll in the Rice University Health Insurance plan or waive the plan with proof of existing health insurance. It's a good idea to start thinking about this early, but you will receive more information about health insurance after you pay your enrollment deposit.
- Tuition billing and payments are managed by the Rice University Cashier’s Office. Billing for tuition and fees begins around July 1 for Fall; however, you must be enrolled in classes to be assessed charges. Enrollment for classes begins in June, and the first payment due date is September 10. More information about this process can be found in the Navigating Financial Aid section.
