Global Programs
Our immersive international learning experience, built into the core curriculum for all MBA programs, lets you take what you learn in the first year of the program and apply it to high-impact strategy projects for organizations and communities in diverse cultural settings. It will change your perception of the world and the way you do business in it.
Every year, our faculty members lead international trips abroad and host courses in those countries for credit. These optional courses give you the chance to gain exposure to different cultures, make business contacts, hear from dynamic speakers and network with local alumni.
Want to develop your international outlook even more? Full-Time MBA students can choose to study abroad for a semester at one of our partner institutions or take advantage of the opportunity to attend seminars hosted by business schools around the world.
Domestic Experiential Programs
Experiential Lab courses at Rice Business are designed to allow students to apply their MBA skillset to a challenge faced by a Houston-based company. Labs give students to fully immerse themselves in a specific industry under the guidance of leading faculty.
The Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Lilie) is the home of experiential learning and co-curricular activities in entrepreneurship and innovation at Rice University.
The Rice Business Green Belt is specifically designed to ensure that students are both trained in the required Lean Sigma methodologies; and are prepared to lead strategic, impactful process improvement projects.
The Washington Campus (TWC) offers multi-day courses on public policy and affairs for MBA students. The D.C. non-profit facilitates healthcare and public policy skill development, with open enrollment for Rice MBA students during the university’s academic calendar.
CPRL is a semester-long leadership program where interdisciplinary students address public education challenges through experiential projects. Accepted Rice Business students consult in New York on public education transformation projects during their second-year fall semester.
