Rice Business Partners' Faculty Roundtable Discussion with Professor Duane Windsor
Join us for a faculty roundtable with Duane Windsor, Lynette S. Autrey Professor of Management, as he explores how Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are evolving from voluntary ideals into forces reshaping business strategy and accountability. Drawing on his course Leadership in a World on Fire and current global trends, Professor Windsor examines the tension between impact and performance, the rise of ESG measurement, growing skepticism around greenwashing, and the possibility that CSR is shifting toward mandatory legal and regulatory standards worldwide. From CEO activism and international sanctions to emerging global norms around human rights and corruption, this discussion will consider what these changes mean for corporate legitimacy, leadership, and the future role of business in society.
Beyond the discussion, this roundtable also offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow Rice Business Partners, alumni, and leaders across industries. Attendees will have time to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build relationships that extend well beyond the conversation.
This event is open to all Rice Business students, alumni, Rice Business Partner members, and the Houston business community. The registration will close at 5 p.m. CT on March 3, 2026.
