Cheryl’s Story: Path to a Board Seat — and Her Vantage Point on AI Becoming Part of a Company’s DNA
Join a virtual lunch conversation with Cheryl Capps — Rice alumna (B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.A. Psychology), independent director, and technology-forward operator who has built and run manufacturing, engineering, and global supply chain at Corning, Bristol Myers Squibb, and GE.
Cheryl currently serves as an Independent Director of Integer Holdings, with committee experience spanning Audit, Corporate Governance & Nominating, Compensation & Organization, and Technology. She has also served as a management representative in public- and PE-backed boardrooms and as an executive advisor to Elementum, Axion, o9 Solutions, ketteQ, and Bristlecone. She advises Chief Supply Chain Officers through World50.
At Corning, as Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, she transformed a global function that delivered more than $1.3 billion in year-over-year P&L savings — and led development of an AI-enabled global risk detection and mitigation system recognized by the National Association of Manufacturers as “best of the best.”
This is not a conversation about an AI pilot. It is Cheryl’s story of how she earned tech-forward board seats — and what she sees across industries as AI moves from a project list into a company’s DNA.
What we will cover:
- The path from operator to public-company and tech-forward board seats.
- What she sees across industries when AI is woven into strategy, risk, capital, and operations.
This event is complimentary and open to the public. Please register below.
