Vinod Ravi
Adjunct Professor
Dr. Vinod Ravi is an Associate Professor at, Department of Sarcoma Medical Oncology, Division of Cancer Medicine. He also serves as the Research Director for the University of Texas, Health Intelligence Platform (UT-HIP). In addition, he holds a joint adjunct appointment as an Associate Professor, Department of Genomic Medicine, Division of Cancer Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer.
Dr. Ravi’s clinical practice is focused on ultra-rare tumors such as angiosarcoma and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. In addition, his clinical research interests are in the development of novel therapies for rare tumors, and he has conducted several phase II and III clinical trials in patients with sarcoma.
From a healthcare data standpoint, his research focuses on utilizing multi-dimensional clinical and molecular data to identify effective molecular therapies. Dr. Ravi is interested in correlating tumor response to specific targeted therapies with molecular predictors to improve clinical trial efficiency and success rates. In addition, he also utilizes healthcare data for the development of algorithms to predict the side effects of drugs used in oncology.
