Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, MD Anderson Cancer Center
Omer F. Sultan is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Joining MD Anderson in October 2021, he sets the strategic direction for MD Anderson’s long-term financial goals and operations while overseeing the institution’s accounting, financial planning and analytics, treasury, revenue management and supply chain.
Prior to MD Anderson, Omer has more than 15 years of financial executive leadership experience from Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, an 11- hospital academic health system, and consulting services for multi-state health systems, medical centers and community hospitals. He earned a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science from Benedictine University in Illinois. In 2019, he received the Chicago United Business Leaders of Color Award and is also a member of the British American Project (BAP).
