Matt Brogdon

Mr. Brogdon has over two decades of experience advising and managing oil and gas companies and assets.  At Guggenheim, he has led development and deployment of the first securitized finance products for the energy industry, and raised over $2 billion for his upstream clients during 2019-2020.  Prior to Guggenheim, Mr.Brogdon focused on energy M&A and senior energy coverage roles at Citigroup and Evercore Partners, and served in senior executive positions with two private E&P companies.  During his career Mr. Brogdon has led or executed over $30 billion in energy M&A and financing transactions.   He began his career in engineering and management roles with ExxonMobil and Netherland Sewell & Associates, where he was a partner.

Mr. Brogdon received his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.  Mr. Brogdon is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and is based in Houston, Texas.
