What impact has your experience at Rice Business had on your career / life?
My connection with the Jones School over the last 30+ years has been wonderful.  From my classmates, to faculty and staff, to other alumni, and friends of Rice Business I have found friends and mentors.  The network, learnings, and connections have been an integral part of my career.  And usually not in a linear fashion.  You never know where that connection or insight will come from.  One of the things that Rice Business taught me was the value of learning from other people.  Textbooks and lectures are fine, but the real learning in life comes from those around your.  Rice Business does a great job or creating a first-rate network of others around you.

What do you want to say to other alumni?
Our time as alumni vastly exceeds our time as students, and inevitably "life happens" after graduation.  Through the ebbs and flows of "life happens", you will find yourself sometime more involved in Rice Business and sometimes less.  That's okay.  Rice Business is a multi-faceted place and offers opportunities for engagement no matter where you are in "life happens".  So, when, and as you can, just show up and look for ways to be involved.  Ways to make a difference - to your class, to current students, to faculty or staff, or maybe the entire Rice Business community.  As long as you are ready to take the first step, Rice Business will be there for you.
