Lovely has worked on a wide range of transactions as an advisor, investor, and corporate executive in the energy, utilities, and industrial sectors. She began her career in 2014 as a Field Engineer for SLB, receiving four promotions over six years to become a Client Engagement Coordinator. In 2018, SLB's VP, Ashok Belani, awarded her the Harry Cameron Award. During her tenure, she authored eight papers published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers. In 2020, she joined Pristyn Care, a Series-B startup, as General Manager, where she built a new business line and raised $95 million at $1.4 billion valuation from investors like Sequoia and Tiger Global.
In 2022, she worked at Sagana, an impact investment advisory firm focusing on early-stage startups in energy, climate, and healthcare. In 2023, Lovely served as Vice President at The Sterling Group, a private equity firm investing in middle-market companies in industrials and utilities sectors. She was involved in all phases of the private equity process, including deal origination, investment thesis development, investing in new platforms, and supporting portfolio companies' growth.
Lovely Sharma attended The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, from 2022 to 2024, earning an MBA in Finance. She earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad from 2010 to 2014.
Outside of work, Lovely enjoys swimming, playing with her newborn son, and hiking, having led several expeditions in the Himalayas.
