Javier Simons

Javier Simons is the Founder and President of KOQ Agency, a global touring and talent agency representing independent artists.

Under his leadership, KOQ has scaled internationally, booking Danish band Aqua’s first ever U.S. tour and forging festival partnerships across the U.S., Spain, New Zealand, and Latin America.

He began his career as a club promoter in Austin Texas before becoming a talent agent, working with artists including LeAnn Rimes, Crystal Waters, Gloria Trevi, and RuPaul. 

Javier holds a B.A. in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and an MBA from Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. While at Rice, he was nominated for the M.A. “Mike” Wright Award and served as Executive Chair of the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition Conference, an experience he considers his proudest moment at Rice and one he hopes left a lasting contribution to the school’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
