Emma Owens
First-Year Representative, REFS
Full-Time MBA, Class of 2026
Emma is a Professional MBA student at Rice University with an expected graduation date of May 2026. She serves as a First-Year Representative for the Rice Energy Finance Summit (REFS), is a member of the Energy and Clean Tech Association, is participating in the Rice Cleantech Innovation Competition (RCIC), and is a member of the Rice Business Women’s Organization. Before joining Rice, Emma graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2019.
Emma currently works for Williams in their New Energy Ventures business development group, where she is focused on developing carbon capture and hydrogen infrastructure across the United States. Prior to this position, she held a variety of roles in engineering, operations, and construction.
Outside of work and school, Emma enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family.
