Christy Aroopala is a Lecturer in Analytics at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business, where she teaches data analytics and operations analytics to MBA and Master of Data Science students, and a Lecturer in Decision Science & Analytics at the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business.
She is also the Founder and Principal of CA Strategy & Analytics Advisory, a boutique consulting practice advising organizations on enterprise analytics and AI roadmaps, data governance, and process optimization frameworks. Christy brings more than 15 years of practitioner experience in data science and analytics leadership across the marketing, insurance, financial services, and technology sectors, including at AIG and VMware. She has led analytics, data science, and data engineering teams, building organizations’ analytics portfolio and driving marketing and customer analytics initiatives end-to-end.
Christy holds a PhD and MA in Political Science from Rice University and an MBA from Rice Business. She also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Yale University, where she taught university courses and conducted research.
