Bruce Dunlevie
General Partner, Benchmark Capital
Bruce has been a venture capitalist for thirty years, investing mainly in high-tech start-ups. He is a General Partner of Benchmark Capital, which he helped found in 1995.
Bruce has served on the Board of Trustees of Stanford University for 10 years and on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Rice University, for 8 years. He previously served as the Chairman of the Board of The Stanford Management Company, the entity which manages Stanford’s endowment assets, and re-joined the board as a Trustee after a 1 year hiatus. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for The J. Paul Getty Trust, and is a director of several public and private companies. He is Fellow Benefactor of Trinity College, University of Cambridge.
Bruce holds a BA in literature and history from Rice University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
