Yolande (Monteiro) Athaide
Challenge Donor

Biography
My husband and I have had a consulting practice for the past nineteen years. We mainly serve the natural gas storage market, developing software and providing analytics. Outside of work, I love spending time with Chris and our two children. Our son is now a freshman in college and our daughter is a high school sophomore. I like to volunteer in the community. This year, I have been involved as a volunteer with the International Students at Rice program and the Office of International Students and Scholars. Also, Chris, my daughter, and I love to attend fine arts performances. We enjoy the performances at the Shepherd School of Music.
Why did you decide to step up as a challenge donor in honor of reunion?
I want to encourage my former classmates to donate.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Rice Business?
Our finance class trip to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
What would you say to your classmates to inspire them to give in honor of their reunion?
This is a great time, as we reflect back 25-27 years to our own two years at the Jones School, to be a part of the team that leaves a legacy for future students! Our school needs your financial help to stay among the top programs and continue to provide a world-class business education for its students.
