Susanne Gealy

Susanne is a director in the external public markets group at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a pension system serving 1.3 million active and retired educators and their families. She is the head of the trust’s global equity external managers portfolio and consults on investments of the hedge fund emerging manager portfolio.

Prior to joining TRS, Susanne was based in New York and worked in the hedge fund division of Investcorp, the global alternative investment management firm. Prior to Investcorp, she worked for Lazard Asset Management in various capacities including hedge fund seeding and client portfolio management for developed and emerging market strategies. Susanne also served as the advisor to a high net worth family based in New York and Philadelphia. She began her career in finance in equity derivatives at JP Morgan and subsequently Banc of America Securities.

Ms. Gealy received an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. She earned her MS and BS degrees in Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a CAIA charter holder.
