Sean T. Long

Sean T. Long, Sr. is Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Endeavor Energy Holdings LLC, a U.S.-headquartered, privately held independent power company focused on developing, acquiring, financing, constructing, owning and operating power generation plants in Africa. Endeavor Energy is a leading independent power generation and development company focused on Africa with nearly 700MW, $1.6 billion under or nearing construction in Africa since its inception with another $4.4 billion of power generation projects under development.  Endeavor Energy has offices in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, Accra, Ghana and Conakry, Guinea, Dubai, UAE and headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA.

Mr. Long has over 24 years and over $15 billion worth of development, acquisition, construction, financing and management experience in energy-related industries – including solar, wind, hydroelectric, gas-fired, LNG-to-Power, LPG-to-Power, coal and various other types of power and energy technologies. Mr. Long has been involved in power and energy infrastructure projects in Africa since 1997.

Mr. Long is former Senior Vice President and head of Enron International’s business activities in Africa. Under Mr. Long’s leadership, Enron developed the first independent power project in Nigeria, a $300 million, 300MW gas-fired power project located in Lagos.  He was also involved in the development of the $400 million Pande gas field and pipeline project that delivers natural gas into South Africa today from Mozambique.

He has served on various private company boards and executive management committees, including Endeavor Energy and its various subsidiaries. Mr. Long also serves on the board of the Business Counsel for International Understanding, a non-profit organization that facilitates mutually beneficial, person-to-person relationships between business and government leaders worldwide. He also served on the executive management committee of Consolidated Asset Management Services, LLC (CAMS), a privately-owned asset management and operations and maintenance services company to the oil and gas, midstream and power industries. Prior to CAMS, Mr. Long was Senior Vice President of Universal Pegasus International, a global energy-focused engineering, procurement and construction management firm, and was responsible for all of its international and power business.

Mr. Long also served as an officer in the United States Army as a Captain. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering (a specialty electrical engineering degree) from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1987. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law in 1993. Admitted in 1993, Mr. Long is a member of the New York State Bar.
