Rocky is the founder of Texas Essential Investments (TEI), a Rice alumni-led private investment group that connects entrepreneurs and investors and manages capital backing Rice alumni who acquire and operate businesses. Through Owl Alumni Capital's Owl Fund I, the network made its first investment in January 2025, backing a 2017 Rice MBA who acquired a powerline service business after a two-year self-funded search. Rocky is a Rice Business alum.
