Richard J. Swartz is the senior statistician at Rice Business. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from Rice University and is published in the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Applied Psychological Measurement as well as several applied journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology and Quality of Life Research. At Rice, Dr. Swartz has taught SAS Statistical Programming, and has been offering research workshops for the Ph.D. program. Before coming to Rice, Dr. Swartz held an instructor position at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, doing research in patient-reported outcome measurement development and analysis as well as statistical research support for clinicians and other faculty in the behavioral sciences and cancer prevention.
Dr. Swartz’s current research interests are in applied statistical methods for strategy, marketing, accounting and finance.
