What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA experience? To be honest, I haven’t really been surprised at all. Going into my MBA, I knew that this would be one of the toughest and most rewarding experiences of my life — and that’s exactly what has transpired. I would be more surprised if the experience wasn’t what I expected, so I’m grateful that the Rice MBA experience is what I was anticipating.

What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience so far? My favorite part about the MBA experience is seeing how it makes me better at my job in real time. For example, practicing and applying what I’ve learned on displaying a more open and inviting image in business communication classes has helped me build relationships with retailers quicker.

What is one piece of advice you would share with prospective professional MBA students? Stay organized to keep from getting overwhelmed. Just go with the flow and trust that you will find ways to work harder and smarter everyday, making life a little simpler.
