Logan Free

Logan Free is a director in Citi’s global energy group, focused largely on the exploration and production sector. His experience includes a broad range of strategic advisory, capital markets and acquisition finance engagements. Logan joined Citi in 2014 and has over twelve years of experience in the oil and gas sector. Prior to joining Citi, he worked in strategic planning at Apache Corporation, advising executive leadership on capital allocation, operational performance evaluation, as well as multiple asset divestitures and joint ventures. Logan also spent two years in Ernst & Young’s audit practice in Houston, with ConocoPhillips as his primary client. Notable transaction experience includes advising Diamondback on its acquisition of Energen, Occidental Petroleum’s acquisition of Anadarko Petroleum, Apache Egypt’s joint venture with Sinopec, and the initial public offering of Jagged Peak Energy. He earned a B.B.A. in accounting and an M.S. in finance from Texas A&M University.
