What about the Rice MBA program has surprised you the most?
The diversity of the student body is so rich. I'm not speaking simply about skin color or nationality- I'm referring to the breadth of personalities, world views, problem solving preferences, leadership styles, and the like. As a student at Rice Business, I expected to be exposed to immensely talented professionals who challenged by way of thinking and illuminated for me new ways of solving problems and connecting with people- I have not been disappointed!
What has been your favorite moment of your Rice MBA experience so far?
I loved Immersion because it pushed all of us out of our comfort zone and enabled the forming of close bonds with one another early in the program.
What is your favorite thing about and/or favorite spot in Houston?
Houston has an incredible professional energy. The city is bursting with idealistic and ambitious professionals who want to make the world a better place and expand the frontier of their industry. As a business school student, this is a massive advantage.
In a sentence, what is the one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
Business school is challenging and will stretch you out of your comfort zone; however, I urge you to embrace the challenge because it facilitates growth in an extraordinary way.
