James Guilfoyle

James (Jim) Guilfoyle is executive vice president, Advanced Polymer Solutions & Supply Chain for LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies. He has manufacturing and commercial responsibility for Compounded Polyolefins, Polybutylene and Catalloy with the additional responsibility for Supply Chain.
Prior to this position, he was senior vice president of Intermediates & Derivatives and Supply Chain at LyondellBasell. He also held several managerial and technical positions at the company within the Olefins and Polyolefins business segment. Guilfoyle started his career as a chemical engineer in 1993 at the La Porte, Texas, Olefins Plant with Quantum Chemicals, a predecessor of the company.
He currently serves on the Houston Food Bank Board of Directors.
Guilfoyle earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science in the same field from the University of Houston. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston and attended the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management.
