Hyder Kazimi

Hyder leads McKinsey’s Global Energy Private Equity Practice and is a core leader in McKinsey’s Energy Practice.  In this capacity, he addresses the particular challenges of evaluating new investments and turning around the performance of energy companies.

Hyder has more than 15+ years of advisory experience in the energy sector and has partnered with a broad range of private equity and corporate clients across the Americas, Europe and Middle East. 

Hyder previously worked in the natural resources investment banking division of Goldman Sachs where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.  Hyder holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelors in Economics from Northwestern University where he graduated with Honors.
