GiGi Lindberg

GiGi Lindberg serves as a Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager at BBVA helping middle market companies grow and meet their long term goals. She is accountable for acquiring, servicing and maximizing profitability of client relationships.

GiGi joined BBVA after taking an 8 year break from the financial services industry. She followed her dream, became a Certified Sommelier, and founded her wine company, Meritaj in San Francisco. Meritaj is a fine wine import and sales company focused on building bridges between the US and Turkey through wine.

Prior to founding Meritaj, GiGi served as a Business Development Manager at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and Commercial Real Estate Underwriter at Wells Fargo in San Francisco.

GiGi currently is a member of Women in Leadership at BBVA. She also serves on the Board of BURCIN (Bosphorus University Robert College Alumni Abroad) and as a Wine Program Advisory Committee Member at The International Culinary Center.

A native of Turkey, GiGi, graduated from Bosphorus University in Istanbul with a degree in Economics. She was a Lowry Mays Scholar and received her MBA from Texas A&M University’s Mays School of Business. While at Mays, she was key in establishing the training programs at Reliant Energy Trading Center. GiGi completed the Intensive Sommelier training at the International Culinary Center in San Jose and Applied Economics Course Work in Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital at Stanford University. GiGi is happy to call Houston home for the last two years with her husband and daughter. She enjoys fine wine and food pairings, interior design, and yoga.
