What about the Rice MBA program has surprised you the most?
The most surprising thing about the program has been the relevancy of the topics in my day-to-day understanding of how businesses operate. I now look at how marketing, data analytics, economics, finance, etc, impact the decisions that were made and how that affects the success of a business.

What has been your favorite moment of your Rice MBA experience so far?
My favorite moment has to be the first day of immersion. The energy and excitement about what we were about to start and what the future held for us was incredible.

What is your favorite thing about and/or favorite spot in Houston?
My favorite thing about Houston is the unique culture with regards to diversity. In Houston, it is normal to be from a different background and to love all types of music, food, etc. You can find great people and great food around every little corner.

In a sentence, what is the one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
Enter the program with a learner's mindset; be humble, be open, be willing to push yourself into areas where you might feel vulnerable to be able to maximize what you get out of the program.
