Emeka Oyolu

Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Investor Relations, LyondellBasell
Emeka Oyolu is Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Investor Relations for LyondellBasell, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies. Oyolu has global responsibility for LyondellBasell’s corporate accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and investor relations.
Prior to joining LyondellBasell in August 2021, Oyolu spent 27 years with Phillips 66 and served in a variety of financial and business roles in domestic and international locations in the Upstream, Downstream, Midstream and Commercial businesses. These include Vice President and Controller; General Manager, Planning and Optimization and General Manager, Finance for Refining, Marketing and Transportation.
Oyolu earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Lagos in 1990 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1992. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. Oyolu also earned an MBA from Rice University in Houston in 2005 and, upon graduation, was named a ‘Jones Scholar’ in recognition of academic excellence.
Oyolu serves on the board of directors of the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston, the Board of Trustees of Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, and the Board of Advisors of the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
