Ellen is the Global General Manager for the Ecosystems segment of LCS Monitoring Solutions where she provides strategic and operational leadership for GE to win in the global healthcare marketplace by developing the right platform and product offerings for the future. The Ecosystems business delivers “connected care” for patients through communication protocols, centralized and mobile patient viewing, and partnering with other solutions providers to deliver intelligent patient data to clinicians at the right time. She has focused on significantly expanding the global reach of GE’s innovative monitoring offerings to maximize the ability to solve customer challenges and clinical workflow needs.
Ellen’s 19 year career with GE Healthcare also spans numerous commercial segments of GEHC with increasing responsibilities. Prior to her current role, Ellen was General Manager, US Sales and Marketing responsible for the sales and marketing of GE Healthcare’s $600M portfolio of patient monitors, clinical IT/wireless systems, diagnostic cardiology devices, and BP cuffs to health systems in the United States. She is an experienced and collaborative leader, who has led both direct hospital-focused sales teams, as well as independent third party distributors to increase sales coverage outside of hospital facilities. Ellen has served in a number of prior roles across Emergency Care; Enterprise patient monitoring and diagnostic cardiology, healthcare IT, PACS for imaging, and diagnostic imaging.
Ellen holds a B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and a Masters Degree in Business from University of Texas – Austin, where she has also served as GE campus recruiting leader. Ellen and her husband, John, have three boys, live in Houston, TX, and enjoy spending time with family, sports, and traveling. She also participates in several community service initiatives.
