Charles Geer is Halliburton’s Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting officer. Charlie is responsible for the company’s global accounting activities, including financial and management reporting, operations finance, and accounting services. Previously, he served as Vice President of Finance and was responsible for all operational, manufacturing, and PSL accounting throughout the Company. He also serves on the Agent Review, Code of Business Conduct, and Internal Control/Disclosure Committees.
After working for Weatherford and Select Energy as principal accounting officer and chief accounting officer, respectively, Charlie rejoined Halliburton in 2013 in the role of Vice President of Finance. In his previous term with Halliburton, Charlie was Manager of External Reporting before being promoted to the role of Director of External Reporting and Technical Research, where he was responsible for providing disclosures and reporting requirements to government entities as they relate to financial results or events within the company.
A Certified Public Accountant, Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Accounting from Rice University, where as an undergraduate he served as Treasurer and then President of Baker College. He has continued his service to Rice by sitting on multiple Alumni Reunion Committee Boards and volunteering as a guest speaker for MAcc. He has also been a speaker before various professional groups and companies, including the Texas CPA Society, Accenture, KPMG, and PwC.
Charlie and his wife, Jennifer, live in Manvel, Texas. They have two children.
