Carolina Sierra

Ms. Sierra has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining First Reserve in 2019, she was an Associate for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures within the energy investment banking group at Guggenheim Partners. While at Guggenheim, Ms. Sierra was involved in leading and executing sell-side and buy-side advisory mandates, capital raises and restructuring for upstream and midstream energy companies.

Prior to joining Guggenheim, Ms. Sierra worked in various asset development and operational roles within several unconventional and conventional plays, as a Reservoir Engineer for BP and as a Field Engineer for Schlumberger. She holds a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology.

Ms Sierra lives in Houston with her husband, Andrew, who is also an Engineer and Rice EMBA Alumni, and their 3 children, Luciana, Charlie and Elisa.
