Beverly Bian
Business Development Director, Baker Tilly
Since graduating from Rice Business in 2004, Beverly Bian has been passionate about building community and creating meaningful connections. Whether bringing Bay Area alumni together over dim sum, mentoring a first-generation MBA student navigating a career pivot, or connecting a founder with the right advisor at exactly the right moment, Beverly is known for helping people build relationships that last. She is a Business Development Director at Baker Tilly, one of the nation's largest advisory, tax, and assurance firms, where she works alongside founders, investors, CFOs, controllers, and executive teams navigating growth, capital events, operational challenges, and organizational complexity. She helps connect organizations with the firm's broad capabilities across audit, tax, advisory, cybersecurity, transactions, and industry-focused consulting. Beverly also serves as a leader of Baker Tilly's Asian American Business Practice, deepening relationships with entrepreneurs, executives, and investors across the United States.
At Rice, Beverly served on the Executive Committee of the ARA Board (2022–2025) and the Rice University Laureates Awards Committee (2025–2026), and remains a steady presence in the alumni community through mentorship and the Bay Area events she regularly co-hosts. Beyond Rice, she serves on the Executive Committee of How Women Lead and was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of its Most Influential Women. Ask anyone who knows Beverly, and they will tell you the same thing: she gives more than she takes, remembers people long after a first meeting, and has a gift for bringing together the right people at the right time.
