How a Rice MBA Benefits Military Members and Veterans
Highest Level Yellow Ribbon Program Participant
Rice Business proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon program at the highest level. Once your Chapter 33 annual cap has been exhausted, we cover half of the remaining cost with a Yellow Ribbon Scholarship, matched dollar-for-dollar by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Eligible veterans may have all of their tuition and fees covered, and at Rice Business, there’s no limit to the number of participants or maximum amount of Yellow Ribbon scholarship dollars, so there are no additional steps to apply.
Hands-On Leadership Experience
An MBA program is more than a master’s degree. At Rice Business, we will help you develop hard and soft skills that are applicable to both your professional and personal life. Whether you want to build your leadership skills through the CoachRICE program or try your hand at a new venture and participate in the Veterans Business Battle – the largest veteran-focused business plan competition in the country – Rice Business will get you there. And with clubs ranging from the Strategy Association to the Veterans in Business Association, you are guaranteed to graduate with new expertise and friends for life.
A Supportive, Tight-Knit Network
When you join Rice Business, you join a loyal network of 9,000+ lifelong learners, disruptors and leaders. From current students to faculty, staff and alums, you will always be one or two connections away from reaching someone who can help transform your career. Understand the power of the Rice University degree. Learn the true meaning of your network at Rice Business.
Exceptional Career Outcomes
Our distinctive MBA programs focus on the qualities that mark a successful leader, delivering knowledge in finance, marketing, operations, entrepreneurship and global business. While you go into a broad range of industries and functions, no matter where your interests take you, the Career Development Office will support you in the transition to a civilian career. And with 100% internship placement and 97% job offers by 3 months post-graduation, you're sure to land your dream job.
What I think Rice really prides itself on is not just admitting veterans, but admitting the right veterans, and admitting the kind of people with the right character and caliber who are going to go on and build this program.
