What led you to pursue an MBA? My B.S. in chemical engineering gave me the technical skills to succeed in industry, but I wanted to understand the business aspects as well. Combining these two skill sets would allow me to make well rounded decisions in a very competitive field. Â Â
Why did you choose Rice for your professional MBA? Rice's professional program is located on campus with access to all of the professors and a copious amount of resources to help me succeed. The atmosphere and the people felt welcoming. Rice appeared to be a place where I could feel comfortable, pick electives that suited my interests, and thrive throughout the MBA program.
What has been a highlight of the program? The social networking and different backgrounds of all my classmates has been a highlight of the program. I have been able to make lifelong friends and join a strong network that is not only in Houston, but around the world.
What has surprised you about the journey so far? Before starting my MBA, I wondered how I was going to balance work, life and school. By no means has it been easy, but it has become second nature and the transition went very smooth. Â Â
