Technology Drives the Changing World of American Energy and its Workforce
Industry innovations and technology breakthroughs are why the U.S. is now considered the world’s largest producer of oil and natural gas. These high-tech advances have led our nation to energy abundance, and delivered a cleaner and safer environment. Today, we face a brighter and more secure energy future than ever before. Our industry is attracting a new generation of the best and the brightest. Today, millennials make-up one-third of the industry workforce and are expected to grow exponentially over the next several years. It will be imperative that Newfield and other companies in the industry provide training and knowledge transfer to improve the business leadership acumen for the success of our industry and these future leaders.
