Pursuing Breakthroughs in Challenging Times
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is the first children’s hospital in the United States and among today’s most preeminent pediatric academic medical centers. Research has been a focus of CHOP since inception with many innovations brought to the bedside over the course of decades. More recently CHOP has been a leader in cell and gene therapy research and their efforts were instrumental in the development of the first gene and cell therapy drugs to be approved by the FDA.

During this presentation, Doug Hock will provide an overview of CHOP’s research programs, its approach to commercializing research breakthroughs, and how it manages strategic risks in a turbulent healthcare market.

6:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Presentation, Shell Auditorium
7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Reception, Anderson Family Commons
