A significant number of mergers and acquisitions struggle to deliver their
expected value in today's marketplace. The latest of a series of studies
conducted by KPMG into M&A value creation suggest that many companies fail
to pay enough attention to the people processes during diligence, let alone in
post-acquisition integration. In fact, it is suggested that while the sprint
race during diligence receives the lion share of attention, it is the
integration marathon run after closing that truly delivers value. Dr. Anne
McEntee, President and CEO of Flow & Process Technologies of GE Oil &
Gas will share her experience in this area, providing insight into successful
strategies for winning the race.
