  1. Are students expected to cover airfare, hotel, and conference fees? Each program is responsible for airfare, hotel, and conference fee costs. However, many MBA programs subsidize, reimburse, or sponsor student travel to conferences, competitions, and events. Ask your program today.

    • Dinner and beverages at the Super Partio Networking event on Thursday evening
    • Lunch on Friday afternoon

    • Reception and Dinner at the Omni Riverway Colonnade Room on Friday evening

  3. When should I plan to arrive in Houston? The conference officially starts on 17 November at 1:00 CST when the Registration tables in the Rotunda open for conference check in. Opening Remarks in the Anderson Family Commons (AFC) begin at 2:30 PM.
  4. Should I go directly to Rice University or the Omni Riverway upon arrival in Houston? Guests are encouraged to proceed to the Omni for hotel check in before the conference as time allows. Guests who proceed to Rice University from the airport are welcome to store their luggage in a secure facility within the Jones Graduate School of Business. If you fit into this category, let the Registration desk know that you need to check your bags with the school.
  5. I want to go out after the Partio Networking Mixer, but I’d like my bags to go back on the bus to the hotel. Is this ok? Absolutely, guests who checked-in luggage at the Jones Graduate School of Business are responsible for loading it on the bus returning to the Omni. Omni personnel will store and hold your luggage until you check-into the hotel. Your bag check tag from conference registration will serve as the means for you to collect your bags at the Omni.
  6. What is the dress code for the conference? The dress code for all conference events will be Business Casual; jackets and ties (men) are recommended for Friday’s dinner at the Omni.
  7. Is this a Full-Time MBA Program conference? The only guidance is that two MBA student government leaders and one permanent-party member from the school’s faculty, staff, or administration are invited. Schools are encouraged to determine conference representatives based on the school’s program objectives.
