Faculty positions in the Jones School are open-rank (except where noted). We have a strong preference for experienced scholars. Senior applicants must prove both a record of publishing in top journals as well as excellent teaching abilities. Junior applicants must demonstrate quantifiable potential for excellence in scholarship and teaching.

Faculty Position in Accounting

The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University invites applications for one tenure-track/tenured faculty position in accounting effective July 1, 2017. Successful candidates will have a promising research agenda and strong analytical and empirical skills as well as aspire to the highest standards of scholarship, professional activity, and commitment to MBA and PhD education. We are seeking candidates whose research interests and expertise lie in the areas of financial or managerial accounting.

Job Qualifications:
Applicants at the associate or full level must have a Ph.D. and an established record of excellence in scholarly research and teaching. Applicants at the assistant level must have a Ph.D. by November 1st of the year employment commences.

The appointment will be made at the rank of assistant professor.
