Student clubs and organizations are an integral part of the Jones School. Involvement with these groups builds visibility with students interested in specific industries and functions. Student organizations welcome speakers from companies as well as event sponsorship.
Access Online Resume Books
Resume books provide access to resumes of all Rice MBA students and can be sorted by concentration, career preferences, clubs or other categories.
Attend MBA Events
Rice‚Äôs business school is home to a variety of conferences and events each year, including the Houston Hedge Fund Conference and the Rice Alliance Business Plan Competition. It also serves as the headquarters of the National Association of Women MBAs. Other alumni and community organizations, such as the Jones Partners, frequently host breakfasts, dinners, speaker series and other events on campus.

Companies can post both full-time and summer internship opportunities on MBAFocus, our electronic job board. MBAFocus is viewed regularly by both students and alumni. Responses to postings are highest for those listings with detailed information such as:
Profile of the organization and Web site address
Title and detailed description of job function including specific responsibilities and hiring location
Candidate qualifications including work experience, work authorization, education, skills and abilities

Professional Development Series
The Jones School CMC offers several career development courses and experiential learning programs for incoming and returning students. Previous topics have included Training the Street Valuation Seminar, Targeting the Hidden Job Market and Social Etiquette is Good Business.
Diversity Conference PartnerThe school participates in and hosts events at the major MBA diversity conferences (National Black MBA Association, National Society of Hispanic MBAs and National Association of Women MBAs) to engage companies that do not come to campus to recruit.¬†
Corporate Education Partner
Students are taken on site visits to New York City, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio companies for networking, school branding and corporate prospecting. We host alumni receptions in each city to engage them with the school and to discuss potential employment opportunities for students.
This financial partnership program allows companies to take advantage of executive education discounts, recruiting strategy consultation, Jones Partner benefits and access to faculty and executives.¬†
Our Spring Networking and Recruitment Fair hosts major Houston companies, as well as entrepreneurial companies, and includes the pre-night event at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Fall/Spring Partios‚ÄúParty on the Patio‚ÄĚ networking events are held every Thursday at the Jones School, allowing companies to meet faculty, administrators and students.
