The Jones Graduate School of Business Action Learning Project (ALP) is a thirteen-week team consultation that enables your company to develop or improve a business process. ALP provides an exercise for a team of extremely bright MBA students to integrate the concepts they have acquired in their courses to issues facing your business.
Applications for 2014 Action Learning Projects are due by November 12, 2013. Applications will be processed as they are received, and timely applications that meet the program’s objectives will receive priority. The Jones School will accept a total of 21 projects. It is to your company’s advantage to submit your proposal as early as possible. On January 15, 2014, companies will be invited to present proposals for ALP projects to the Rice University MBA Class of 2015. Students will bid on the projects, begin work in mid January, and complete written reports and oral presentations with actionable recommendations to the host organizations on May 12-14, 2014.
We appreciate your interest in the Rice Action Learning
Project and look forward to receiving your application.

“ With multiple partners, we needed to get on the same page about the value of our business, and how to grow it. Our ALP team tackled a valuation and business growth project for us, and it’s been transformational. They got us focused on what really mattered in our business and what "healthy" looked like for us. How often do you get a focused group of highly professional, really smart people working on a problem for you? They took real ownership of our business and the challenges we faced – it's evident that Rice just develops students to think about business in a different way. ”
