Richard Price is an Assistant Professor at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University. He earned his Ph.D. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Stanford University in 2005. He also holds a masters degree in Statistics from Stanford University (2003). He holds masters and bachelors degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University (both in 1999).
Richard joined the Rice faculty in 2005. He teaches financial accounting in the MBA program. Richard's research focuses on financial accounting and the relation between accounting information and stock prices. His dissertation focuses on accounting conservatism and its effect on the relation between returns and earnings. He has research focusing on market efficiency and valuation.
