Kim Kimmey’s 34-year marketing and communications career has spanned the professional gamut—from corporate to consulting, from agency to academia, from product to service, and from B2B to B2C. In all settings, her focus has been consistent—building successful, strategic programs and campaigns that maximize brand value, drive demand, amplify global business goals, and help companies and individuals communicate effectively with their internal and external audiences.

Currently, Kim serves on the faculty of Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. In this role, she teaches communications courses and workshops as part of the core MBA program. In addition, she serves as a faculty advisor for the school’s Action Learning Project (ALP) program.

Along with her university position, Kim consults with clients on their marketing and communications challenges and objectives through her company, The Workks, founded in 1991. Through her consulting firm, she leverages her marketing, communications, public relations, client development and new media experience to help clients understand their key stakeholders and create strategies for translating potential into profits. Kim specializes in professional services marketing and integrated marketing program management, including:

  • Strategic Planning
