MBA Women International (MBAWI)

MBAWI LogoMBA Women International (MBAWI) is dedicated to empowering graduate women in business in order to propel more women  into leadership positions in corporate America and to enhance diversity in  the workplace.

The MBAWI chapter at the Jesse H. Jones School of Business achieves this goal through:

  • Organizing networking events with alumni, professional women, and local MBAWI chapter members
  • Planning the annual Women in Leadership Conference at the  Jones School
  • Encouraging attendance at the MBAWI  National Conference and Career Fair
  • Providing support through mentoring opportunities
  • Raising awareness through community outreach

MBAWI events for the 2011-2012 school year include:
  • Fall Welcome Dinner 9/7: A kick off for the new school year. 
  • Alumni Wine & Cheese Night 11/9: An opportunity to interact and network with Jones School alumni. 
  • Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 10/1: In partnership with the Rice Multisports Club. 
  • National MBAWI Conference 9/15-17 (Dallas): A national event, it focuses on leadership, networking, and career opportunities.  
  • Dress for Success Volunteer Opportunity 11/5: Volunteering as part of the Jones Gives Back Day. 
  • Local MBAWI Conference 2/10: To bring together industry professionals for a full day of development and networking, with interactive panels and diverse speakers. Register now!  
  • Lunch & Learns 10/26 & 3/21: To create conversations regarding issues important to successful women in business.
