Jean-Baptiste (JB) Juery is a member of Royal Dutch Shell’s Finance Leadership Team and currently leads Finance activities supporting Exploration and Production businesses across North and Latin America as the Upstream Americas’ Executive Vice President of Finance.
JB began his career with Royal Dutch Shell (RDS) plc in January 2007 as the Chief Internal Auditor. Prior to joining RDS, he spent 13 years with Unilever working in finance and internal audit roles in Europe and Asia, four years with Ernst & Young in their external auditing practice, and two years with Kingfisher plc as Internal Audit and Risk Management Director.
JB was born in Paris, France. He earned his Business Administration degree from the Dijon Business School in France.
When he was 25-years-old, JB became a National Service officer in the French Navy where he lead a marine commando squad for more than a year. He also joined Médecins Sans Frontieres, the French Humanitarian Organisation, for six months as a volunteer controller.
JB and his wife, Sabine, currently live in Houston, Texas, with their four young children following many international postings in India, Singapore, the UK and Netherlands. They particularly enjoy discovering the beauty of the US’ National Parks. They keep a strong connection with France, their home country, where sailing is a favorite pastime for the family.
