Roderick A. Larson serves as senior vice president and chief operational officer of Oceaneering International, Inc., a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications. Through the use of its applied technology expertise, Oceaneering also serves the defense and aerospace industries. Oceaneering is traded on the NYSE and earned net income of almost $236 million on revenues of nearly $2.2 billion for the year ended December 31, 2011. Oceaneering has more than 9,600 employees working in locations around the world.
Mr. Larson joined Oceaneering in May 2012 after 22 years with Baker Hughes, Inc., most recently as president, Latin America.
He received his Master of Business Administration from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University and his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and electronic engineering from North Dakota State University.
Mr. Larson is a member the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association, as well as the Board of Advisors for the Rice University Professional Science Master’s Program. Mr. Larson has been married to Lynne Larson for 16 years, and they have two sons. He enjoys hunting, music, and leisure time with his family.
