Wayne Bohannon is CEO of Air Liquide Healthcare America Corporation (ALHAC), which is a subsidiary of American Air Liquide Holdings. ALHAC provides medical and therapeutic gases as well as related equipment to hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and medical research institutions.
The company has three divisions that service customers in 60 countries around the world. Mr. Bohannon also serves as chairman of the board for VitalAire Canada, an Air Liquide subsidiary that provides gases to hospitals and is the largest private home health care provider in Canada. He joined Air Liquide in 2000 in the Acquisitions and Asset Management team of American Air Liquide. In this role he was responsible for driving acquisition projects for North American entities as well as coordinating the divestiture of non-core company assets.
In 2001, Mr. Bohannon became the finance director for ALHAC which at the time included a home health care business in Florida. After serving in this role for four years, he moved to Paris to serve on the Air Liquide Healthcare International finance team and served as operations controller for various health care divisions before joining a team focused on executing health care acquisitions on a global basis. While serving on this acquisition team, Mr. Bohannon helped execute acquisitions in the United Kingdom, Germany and Hong Kong.
Returning to the U.S. in 2008, Mr. Bohannon became CEO for ALHAC before assuming responsibility of all North American health care entities in 2010. He is an accounting graduate from Georgia Southern University and a CPA. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
