Deanna Fuehne Appointed Director of Career Planning for the Jones School
HOUSTON, July 27, 2006—Deanna Fuehne, has been named the new director of career planning for the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management’s Career Planning Center. As director of the CPC, Fuehne counsels students across various industries and functional areas, and builds and maintains recruiting relationships with the business community, on a local and national scale. She counsels MBA students in all career disciplines in both profit and non-profit sectors.
“This is a challenging and exciting change for me and I look forward to guiding the CPC team while working to build and maintain strong recruiting relationships. Targeting recruiters both locally and nationally is a large component of this position,” Fuehne stated.
Prior to her promotion, Fuehne served the Jones School as associate director after 15 years in consulting. She has over 15 years experience in consulting and finance. Prior to pursuing her MBA, she worked for Citigroup's private banking and global asset management groups. While attending Vanderbilt University, she completed her summer internship with Goldman Sachs. Fuehne joined Deloitte Consulting after business school, working in mergers & acquisitions, particularly in the energy and utilities industries. She holds a BA in Economics from Valparaiso University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.
The former director of career planning, Charlotte Linn Stein, will work on a part-time basis as a career consultant.
