Students give Jones School’s Finance program high evaluations in Entrepreneur Magazine and The Princeton ReviewMarch 25, 2009
- Rice MBA students placed the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management among the top 15 MBA programs for finance and the best in Texas, in a report released by Entrepreneur Magazine and The Princeton Review. The report, "Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools," surveyed MBA students on how well they felt their business school courses had prepared them for a successful career.
In addition to this recognition, the Jones School has consistently garnered high media rankings for its strong Finance program. Bill Glick, dean of the Jones School, commented, “The Jones School has been repeatedly recognized as a top 10 global leader by the Financial Times
The newest recognition for excellence in finance is based on student assessments of their education at the Jones School. We take great pride in developing principled, innovative thought leaders for successful careers,” he added.
The report contained lists generated by students for the most highly rated top 15 MBA programs in six categories: Accounting, Finance, General Management, Global Management, Marketing, and Operations. The business schools appear in alphabetical order on the lists, and are not ranked 1 to 15. The Princeton Review compiled the lists using data from its national survey of 19,000 MBA students attending 296 business schools profiled in its book, Best 296 Business Schools: 2009 Edition
and The Princeton Review also ranked the Rice MBA 16th among graduate programs in entrepreneurship in October 2008 (www.entrepreneur.com/topcolleges
). In this category, Rice also placed first in Texas.
The lists will be published in the April issue of Entrepreneur and posted online at http://www.entrepreneur.com/topcolleges
