Rice University's Jones School ranks among country's top MBA programs
Rice University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is No. 8 for best professors and No. 3 for best-administered MBA programs (up from No. 8 last year) in the U.S., according to new rankings this week from the Princeton Review.
Also this week Forbes ranked the Rice MBA full-time program 41st in the U.S., up four spots from 45th in 2011. Forbes measures school standing on the basis of return on investment but does not account for scholarships in its calculations. The ranking also indicated that Rice MBAs from the class of 2008 rank 24th on average salary five years postgraduation.
“The Jones School’s continued climb in business school rankings in metrics that matter most to our stakeholders reflects our long-term commitment to developing a premier business school,” said Bill Glick, dean of the Jones School and H. Joe Nelson III Professor of Management. “We are particularly pleased with the salary increases postgraduation, indicating that Rice MBAs outperform and earn salary increases faster than graduates from peer schools. In addition to the Forbes report of salaries five years postgraduation, Financial Times (in January) ranked Rice MBAs No. 1 in the U.S. for salary percentage increase from entering the program to three years postgraduation. The market values Rice MBAs, and our graduates enjoy increasingly higher returns from their education.”
The Rice MBA Full-Time Program provides students with a comprehensive MBA learning experience that combines specialized course work and real-world experience to improve and amplify their strategy, leadership and creative credentials. The program features innovative classes, expert faculty and a diverse group of candidates who often become colleagues for a lifetime.
The Jones Graduate School of Business is consistently recognized by several rankings publications for its programs, including the Rice MBA, Rice MBA for Executives and Rice MBA for Professionals. For more information on Rice MBA programs, visit http://business.rice.edu
